It’s a word we hear often, but don’t give much thought to. But here’s the sad truth: By the end of 2018, 70.8 million individuals were forcibly displaced from their homes. To make matters worse, in the United States, we allow less than 1 percent of refugees across our borders. Yet around the world, people suffer in war-torn countries. And most of them are children.
